Today, still more risk challenges posed by the pandemic alongside a succession of jaw-dropping financial crime and accounting scandals highlight the necessity to further expand our APAC-focused investigative and due diligence capabilities. It’s a demand that we are pleased to announce we’re meeting head on with the newest addition to our executive team.
Welcoming Iain Johnston
Please join us in welcoming Iain Johnston to the IntegrityRisk Executive team. Iain is based in Hong Kong and will lead the Investigation and Due Diligence practice across Asia Pacific. He brings over 30 years of experience in the public and corporate sectors in senior leadership roles in financial crime investigations, fraud prevention, due diligence and security.
Prior to joining IntegrityRisk, Iain was the Regional Director of Financial Crime and Security at Prudential Corporation Asia, leading the anti-fraud, investigations, anti-bribery and corruption, security, and business continuity functions. He has extensive experience of liaison with regulatory bodies across Asia. Earlier in his career, Iain was the Asia Pacific Head of Global Security and Investigations for JPMorgan Chase. He also served in the (Royal) Hong Kong Police for 13 years where he specialized in commercial crime investigations, conducting investigations throughout Europe, US and Asia Pacific.
Where Capital Goes, Due Diligence and Investigative Prowess Must Grow
The Financial Times reports that the IMF expects that the Asia-Pacific region’s progress in pulling out of the economic slowdown caused by the pandemic will outpace the US and Europe. With that growth, of course, comes the need to double down on our commitment to providing top notch investigative and due diligence support to clients looking to invest in some of the fastest growing emerging APAC economies in the world.
Our global risk management proficiency is built on a strong foundation of decades of success operating in diverse international markets and across a broad set of industries. Did you know that about 70 percent of the subjects we research or investigate are outside the US?
